Born in the Yawmah Karza system and growing up in an unknown cellular division of the slime gutters on Planet Geltoob, they resolved to leave their past behind through the relentless pursuit of dangerous, vanguard technology.  The knowledge this collection of biomass salvaged from the rubble of those mistakes (and also the event horizon of that one black hole) reshaped them into Dr Brain… a modestly successful middle income ship’s surgeon, with an amicable spouse and 1.5 spawn.  As Ripper Docs go he’s not a miracle worker?  But for the Outer Rim he’s like, ok.
